The first house under construction - Lot 1

It's the first thing you see as you drive up to the "meadow," a bright blue tarp flapping on 3 framed-out "walls" of a potential house (photo above). This structure was started in August 2007. This is what it looks like in April 2008. Building materials are haphazardly strewn around the jobsite, scattered to the wind. Apparently, it is supposed to be an innovative concrete home. However, if ICF (insulated concrete forms) blocks had been used, the future homeowner would be living there months ago. Instead, it is only 3 sides, nothing inside, plastic tubing, insulation, and some sonotubes -- now out of alignment.
